Norway is taking an important step toward strengthening the coaching structure in Norwegian grassroots esports. The training program is based on the NIF’s national coaching pathway, adapted to the unique characteristics and needs of esports.

More Than Just Gaming Knowledge

As organized esports continues to grow, the role of a coach involves much more than just gaming knowledge. Coaches play a vital role in leading teams, supporting young players, creating safe and inclusive environments, and fostering meaningful development.

The new training program is an important step in the effort to strengthen this expertise and further develop the foundation for Norwegian grassroots esports. The goal is to provide more coaches with the knowledge, tools, and support they need.

Two levels of education

The training program is available both to volunteer coaches and club leaders who are already active, and to those who want to take their first steps into the role of coach.
