The Norwegian Esports Federation is continuing its partnership with GXTrust during a crucial transitional period for organized esports in Norway.

The partnership aims to raise awareness of organized gaming and esports communities in Norway, with a particular focus on club activities, youth engagement, and esports as a platform for learning and skill development.

GXTrust is a supplier of gaming equipment and accessories and has been a partner of the Norwegian Esports Federation for some time. The new agreement extends this partnership at a time when organized esports in Norway is facing significant structural changes, including the planned merger between the Norwegian Esports Federation and the Grassroots Esports Alliance.

– We are pleased to continue our partnership with GXTrust during this transition period. For us, it is important to partner with organizations that want to contribute to the development of organized, safe, and inclusive esports environments in Norway. Through this partnership, we have the opportunity to highlight club activities, young gamers, and the volunteer work taking place locally,” says André Baumann, Secretary General of the Norwegian Esports Federation.

Focus on club activities and young gamers

As part of this partnership, the Norwegian Esports Federation and GXTrust will highlight content related to Norwegian grassroots esports, club communities, and activities for children and young people.

This will include, among other things, news stories, content from clubs and activity groups, visibility in relevant channels, and a presence—where appropriate—at gathering places such as PlayFestival and other relevant events.

The goal is to highlight how organized esports can contribute to a sense of community, a sense of accomplishment, and a safer environment for young gamers.

Gaming Equipment as Part of a Positive Activity Environment

For many clubs and volunteer organizations, developing esports programs is not just about the games themselves, but also about the supporting framework surrounding the activity. Access to suitable equipment, good meeting spaces, and knowledge of how to organize these activities can contribute to more inclusive and stable programs.

Through this partnership, GXTrust will be able to provide visibility, product knowledge, and relevant offerings related to gaming equipment and accessories.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Norwegian Esports Federation and helping to support the development of organized esports communities in Norway. For us, it’s important to be closely involved with communities where gaming fosters activity, a sense of community, and opportunities for young people,” says Natasha Bellson, Head of Marketing at GXTrust.

The Way Forward

Going forward, the parties will collaborate on visibility, content, and activities related to Norwegian grassroots esports, club communities, and young gamers.

More information about specific activities, club histories, and any member-specific offers will be published on the Norwegian Esports Federation’s channels.
