Femgame LAN

Tournament

A safe and inclusive gaming community for girls and non-binary people.

FemgameLAN is an in-person LAN event designed to provide girls and non-binary gamers with a safe and social gathering place where they can explore gaming on their own terms.
The event brings together people with shared interests, regardless of skill level.

Our vision:
We want to lower the barrier to entry in the gaming community, promote equality and diversity, and build safe communities where everyone can be themselves and develop their digital skills.

Why FemgameLan?
The gaming community is still characterized by gender disparities in terms of participation, visibility, and the sense of safety.
Many girls and non-binary individuals face barriers that make it difficult to find a safe space within the gaming community.

At the same time, experience and research show that gaming can be an important arena for social belonging, identity development, learning, and mastery.
For many children and young people, gaming serves as a meeting place where they can develop both socially and academically.

FemgameLAN was developed to meet these needs by offering a safe, physical meeting place where girls and non-binary individuals take center stage.
The event aims to lower the barrier to participation and show that gaming is for everyone.

How it all began:
The idea for FemgameLAN was born at the Christmas LAN in 2025, when a group of passionate moms sat down to talk about gaming, community, and how more girls and non-binary people could have the opportunity to experience a LAN party on their own terms. After many wonderful discussions and a lot of planning, FemgameLAN came to life.
